Barbara grew up in the artist community of Ojai, California.  From a young age, she was surrounded by artists and craftsmen.  Her father, a naturalist, instilled a great appreciation and passion for nature which continually inspires many of her paintings. “I am amazed by nature and its beauty. Sunlight and shadow excite me.  My hope is to convey those emotions in my paintings. Capturing the light and color of Southern California has been my passion.”

Barbara attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and graduated with a degree in applied art and design.  After years as a Graphic Designer in the Bay Area, Barbara relocated to San Diego. Today her focus is on fine arts.  She has experience painting in a variety of mediums including watercolor, oil, and acrylic.
